About 3 Witches Books

We began 3 Witches Books as a Pandemic Project to keep three fantasy writers out of trouble. We wanted to do something collaboratively in a time of extreme social isolation. Being secluded for months on end finally got to even us introverts.

We held clandestine, but socially distanced, meetings in various gardens for months. And settled on writing urban fantasy novellas about witches as our first project.

When fall came and winter stormed in, we huddled (six feet apart) near propane heaters and beneath heated blankets on each other’s covered porches. Fueled by hot coffee, black tea and chocolate, we conspired to form 3 Witches Books and release a series of anthologies. Some serial stories, others not so much.

We’re excited you’ve found us. Pick up a book or two and join the circle.

In a previous lifetime, Linda coordinated the Clarion West Writers’ Workshop as well as the Reading Series. She spent four years as Chair of the Board of Directors during Clarion West’s formative period. She’s also worked as a travel agent, a baker, and a pond plant/fish sales person, you know, the sort of things one does as a writer.

Currently, she’s the Programming Director for the Writers Cooperative of the Pacific Northwest.

Linda lives and gardens in the rainy wilds of Washington state with her husband, daughter, a glaring of cats, a cluster of Koi and an infinite number of slugs and snails.

Susan Old

Many years ago, in a suburb far away, a teenager finished reading Lord of the Rings and thought, “I want to write about a kick-ass heroine who overcomes and vanquishes evil.” Then life happened! College, the Peace Corps, marriage, children, cancer, young widowhood, remarriage, and twenty-five years as an addiction therapist. Through everything, Susan kept writing. Even a power surge that destroyed her first manuscript couldn’t deter her. She reconstructed it from memory and handwritten notes. When Susan retired, she published her first book and continues to write novels, short stories, and novellas. She lives on a river north of Seattle with two rescue cats and her editor/hubby. When she is not writing about vampires, witches, and werewolves, she volunteers at an animal shelter, gardens and drinks a lot of coffee.
